Thank you Sir

The first of our founding fathers of Singapore - passed away today.

I will not call it a surprise - hes 91 and had pneumonia. It was just matter of time.

Condolences has been coming from all over the country from the Presidents, Prime Ministers, business owners and celebrities.

I am sad, upset and when I heard  PM Lee talk in the National Address live from Channel News Asia I couldn't help the flow of tears from my eyes. I got very emotional after he said the following:

Singapore was his abiding passion. He gave of himself, in full measure, to Singapore. As he himself put it towards the end of his life: 'I have spent my life, so much of it, building up this country. There’s nothing more that I need to do. At the end of the day, what have I got? A successful Singapore. What have I given up? My life.'

I am the product of what he worked all his life for and for that me, my family and my descendants will always be grateful. Thank you sir. Thank you indeed.
